Increasing efficiency requirements and the shift to more environmentally
friendly refrigerants are driving the need for more efficient air
conditioning condenser coils.
In January 2006, the U.S.
Department of Energy standard for unitary residential central air conditioners
and heat pumps will increase to 13 SEER – a 30 percent increase
in efficiency.
AlumiCool’s Brazed
Aluminum Microchannel (BAM) condenser coils turn 13
SEER from a problem to an opportunity.
AlumiCool BAM Condenser Coils at a Glance
- Better heat-exchange performance than tube-in-fin (TIF) coils
- Up to 25% smaller for same heat-exchange capacity
- Up to 15% lighter for same heat-exchange capacity
- More heat-exchange capacity in a given space
- Sustains efficiency better over time
